The AIL Arena is FC Lugano's brand-new home stadium and one of the most modern football arenas in Switzerland. Opened in 2026, this boutique stadium in the Cornaredo district replaces the historic Stadio di Cornaredo, where FC Lugano played their home matches for 75 years – and where a World Cup match even took place in 1954.
With a capacity of approximately 10,000 spectators, the AIL Arena meets all requirements for national and international matches – from the Super League to UEFA competitions. The stadium is the centerpiece of the new sports and events center (Polo sportivo e degli eventi) and boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure: high-quality team changing rooms, a press area, hospitality zones, and everything professional clubs need for serious match preparation.
